Cantina Tre Secoli’s commitment to championing Piedmont’s most distinguished appellations has reached an exciting new benchmark. The tasting commission of The WineHunter, curated by Helmuth Köcher and central to the Merano WineFestival, has officially bestowed its 2026 awards upon three flagship labels from our cellar.
The award’s guiding motto — “Excellence is an attitude” — perfectly mirrors the daily devotion of our cooperative growers and the cellar precision required to elevate the unique terroir of Southern Piedmont.
The Award-Winning Labels
2021 Albarossa DOC: an intriguing indigenous grape variety born from the cross of Nebbiolo di Dronero and Barbera. Our Albarossa impressed the jury with its remarkable depth, ripe red fruit aromas, and well-integrated, velvety tannins, securing an elite score bracket.
2022 Nizza Riserva DOCG: the pinnacle of Barbera in its most celebrated homeland. This Riserva embodies complexity, elegance, and aging potential, capturing the distinct signature of the Nizza terroir through refined maturation and enduring length.
2022 InAlto Alta Langa DOCG: our Metodo Classico sparkling wine that channels the high-altitude freshness and mineral backbone of the hills. Marked by a fine perlage, expressive aromas, and energetic precision, it exemplifies both celebratory finesse and gastronomic versatility.
A Tribute to the Land and the Cooperative Spirit
Earning The WineHunter seals of approval reinforces our core vision: uniting the agricultural heritage of our growers across Asti and Alessandria with modern, meticulous winemaking.
These awarded vintages will be featured in upcoming tasting events and exhibitions, including occasions connected to the Merano WineFestival circuit, and are available through our wine shops in Mombaruzzo and Ricaldone, as well as on our official online boutique.
